Great First Impression Equals Great First Position: The New Grad Interview
We will talk with Nyssa about how to successfully create a great first impression when interviewing for our first nursing position!!
Nyssa Hattaway, BA, BSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, CFRN started her career in a Level 1 Trauma Center in the ER as a staff nurse. She also served as a preceptor, a charge nurse and as the Department Based Educator. She now works full time as a flight nurse on a life flight helicopter and PRN as an Overhouse Supervisor at a community hospital. She is the creator and co-host of an Emergency Nursing podcast called The Q Word Podcast, as in, when we are having a manageable shift we never say "It sure is qui3t!" Her nursing passions are precepting new nurses, certification and professional development, family presence at the bedside during resuscitation, and running the smoothest code blue you've ever seen.
